Think of this desk as the office furniture equivalent of a mullet haircut: professional and practical at the front, but with a fun, unexpected element at the back

icking out a desk is a significant choice. The era when a desk merely served as a spot to toss mail or place your laptop when it wasn’t in use has long passed. As more people are taking on fully remote jobs or adopting a hybrid work model, most of us work from home at least a couple of days each week, and our home desks are seeing unprecedented levels of usage.
Given how frequently desks are used nowadays, a simple flat surface or a small console desk is no longer sufficient. You need space for a monitor, a place to set your coffee mug and water bottle, and a way to organize cords so you aren’t tangled up in wires all day. The list of requirements can grow quite extensive, especially if you need an ergonomic setup or your job demands multiple screens. Finding a desk that meets all these needs, doesn’t cost a small fortune, and still looks presentable is far more challenging and disheartening than one might expect, a lesson I learned the hard way this summer.
However, my initial excitement quickly waned when I realized that all the desks I found aesthetically appealing were way beyond my budget, while the ones I could afford seemed flimsy, as if they wouldn’t survive another relocation. Seeking both cost – effectiveness and durability, I wanted a desk that would stand the test of time, be spacious enough for all my work essentials, and not break the bank. Eventually, I found the perfect solution in the form of the Ezra Modular
